What does “20% off” mean?
A discount compares the offer price with a reference price. Check what that reference represents and whether it applies to the same model and condition.
A LITTLE KNOW-HOW GOES A LONG WAY
Simple guides for understanding prices, comparing offers and making more informed shopping choices.
How DealAware Works →PRICES & SAVINGS
A discount compares the offer price with a reference price. Check what that reference represents and whether it applies to the same model and condition.
A high reference price can make ordinary pricing look exciting. Compare other exact-product offers and inspect the evidence rather than relying on the percentage alone.
Without sufficient observations, a price chart cannot establish the usual price. Treat a range built on too few observations as a rough guide, not a measured estimate.
PROMO CODES
Review minimum spend, eligible items, membership requirements, expiry and whether the offer is limited to new customers.
A promo code may not stack with another discount. Confirm the amount applied at checkout and compare shipping and taxes where available.
Check the spelling and eligibility, then contact the retailer. DealAware does not publish coupon codes it has not verified.
PRODUCT COMPARISONS
Compare model numbers, capacity, finish and included accessories. A tool-only offer and a kit with a battery are different purchases.
New, refurbished and used items can have different warranties and return terms. Confirm who sells and ships the product.
Product ratings describe customer experiences. Retailer ratings describe the seller. Deal verdicts describe the offer’s price signal; none replaces the others.
BEFORE YOU BUY
Check delivery timing, return costs, warranty coverage and the final checkout total on the retailer’s site.
Use Favorites to revisit a product. A large discount or urgency message does not mean you need to buy today.
Choose a target price based on your needs and check the retailer for the current price before you buy.
